The cows
We currently have two breeds of cows on the farm:
The Friesian cow of Dutch origin, the typical black and white cow we all know. Its high milk production makes it the ideal breed for making the large number of cheeses that are produced at Subaida.
The ‘Vermella’ cow of the Menorcan breed, of red clay colour, is smaller in size and produces more fatty milk. They are suckler cows.
